SAFETY! The U.S. spec Nissan NV200 is not safety tested for rear occupants. Nissan did design an NV200 taxi but spent hundreds of thousands in testing and in the end had to add safety features such as rear airbags and added structural support to make that compliant. It is not enough to simply install ‘safety tested seats’ without making sure the actual vehicle body has been crashed tested and proved worthy of handling a side impact. It should also be noted that the European version of the NV200 is a very different vehicle and has been engineered differently.

We use a Blue Sea Systems automatic charging relay to assure that the starting battery and the auxiliary battery are both charged and that only the deep cycle auxiliary battery is used for all added electrical features.

Our color matched pop-top is designed to give the user 6 feet of standing room and some added overall interior space. Because our bed is a true full size there was no need to create an upper cramped bed. The only real con to our pop-top is that we don’t recommend a roof rack because of how the roof elevates.

Yes, you can purchase the side vented screen windows ($475 each plus shipping) and externally mounted accessories separately, but you cannot purchase the components that make up the interior of the Free Bird separately. The installation expertise, safety requirements, and attention to detail are too much for us to provide it as a do it yourself install. We also want to make sure that all products coming through Caravan Outfitter are one and the same for resale value.

Yes, but we have the customer arrange their transportation directly. We can supply the customer with the contact information to make that process more convenient.
